1. Using Tipdrum
These terms govern your use of Tipdrum’s website, creator pages, checkout, embedded tools and related services. “Tipdrum”, “we” and “us” mean the team operating the Tipdrum platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. For questions about these terms, contact [email protected].
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account or transact on Tipdrum. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Give accurate account information, keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Do not impersonate someone else, transfer an account to evade a restriction or use another person’s account without permission.
Google sign-in is optional. Choosing it allows us to verify your Google identity and create or connect your Tipdrum account as described in our Privacy policy.
3. Creators and supporters
Tipdrum provides tools for tips, digital products, memberships, courses, bookings, events and fundraising projects. Unless an offer expressly says otherwise, the creator or organiser supplies the product, service, event or project. Tipdrum is not the creator, employer or organiser.
Creators must describe offers, prices, delivery times, recurring charges, cancellation terms and refund conditions accurately before purchase. You must have the rights and permissions needed for everything you publish or sell, fulfil your commitments, follow applicable laws and handle customer information responsibly.
Supporters must review the offer before paying and provide the information reasonably needed to fulfil it. A tip does not buy a product, ownership interest, investment return or tax-deductible donation unless separately and lawfully established.
4. Payments, fees and payouts
Available payment methods, currencies, totals and applicable fees are shown in the relevant payment flow. Our published platform fee currently ranges from 2% to 5%, depending on payment method; payment-provider or conversion charges may apply separately. Review the displayed terms before confirming.
Payment processing is provided through supported payment partners and is subject to their requirements. Live payment collection and payouts may require identity verification and review. We may delay or restrict payments where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, comply with law or resolve a dispute.
Test-mode transactions are simulations and do not move real money. For recurring payments, the offer must state the amount and billing frequency; cancelling stops future renewals, subject to any rights or obligations for the current billing period.
You are responsible for taxes that apply to your activity. Tipdrum may collect information or retain records where required by law. We do not provide tax or investment advice.
5. Delivery, cancellations and disputes
The creator’s disclosed offer and applicable consumer law govern delivery, cancellation and refunds. Contact the creator first about an order or event problem. If it remains unresolved, contact support with the relevant receipt or booking reference. Do not send passwords or full payment details.
Protected bookings use the approval and dispute steps shown in that booking. Funds may be held until the relevant release conditions are met. Campaigns use the funding and refund conditions shown on the project page. A general account report does not itself cancel an order, open a payment dispute or guarantee a refund.
Nothing in these terms removes a refund, cancellation or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Prohibited activity
Do not use Tipdrum to harm others, break the law or undermine the platform. Prohibited activity includes:
- Fraud, scams, deceptive fundraising, impersonation or payment abuse.
- Racism, hate speech or discrimination targeting protected personal characteristics.
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, violence or dangerous extremism.
- Child endangerment, grooming, sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
- Sexual exploitation, trafficking or sharing intimate content without consent.
- Encouraging suicide or self-harm, or promoting dangerous acts.
- Doxxing, privacy violations, stolen data or unauthorised sharing of personal information.
- Illegal goods or services, intellectual property infringement, spam or platform manipulation.
- Unauthorised access, malware, security interference or attempts to bypass restrictions.
7. Your content and our platform
You retain ownership of the work you upload. You grant Tipdrum a non-exclusive permission to host, store, display, distribute and technically adapt that content only as needed to operate the services and fulfil the choices you make, such as publishing a creator page or delivering a purchased download.
You may remove content, subject to existing customer access, legal duties and records reasonably needed for transactions or disputes. Tipdrum’s name, branding, software and platform materials remain owned by Tipdrum or their respective rights holders. These terms do not transfer those rights to you.
8. Reports and enforcement
You can report an account for suspected abuse. Provide accurate information and enough context for review. Do not submit malicious or knowingly false reports. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; Tipdrum’s report form is not an emergency service.
We may investigate, remove content, restrict features or suspend or close accounts when reasonably necessary to address a breach, protect people, prevent fraud or comply with law. Where appropriate and lawful, we may contact the account holder, request information or share relevant information with competent authorities. Contact support if you believe an action was mistaken.
9. Closing your account
You can request account deletion in Account settings or by contacting support. Closing an account does not remove obligations for outstanding orders, refunds, disputes, balances or legal records. We may retain limited information as described in our Privacy policy.
10. Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Tipdrum available and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted service, error-free operation or the conduct of every creator or supporter. Features and payment availability may change. To the extent permitted by law, services are provided as available without additional warranties.
Each party remains responsible for its own acts and omissions. To the extent permitted by law, Tipdrum is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, arising from use of the service. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any liability that cannot legally be limited, or limits mandatory consumer rights.
11. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will publish the revised version and its effective date here and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the service or by email where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Please contact us first to try to resolve a concern. If it cannot be resolved, the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear the dispute.
